Will SA win the war on drugs?
Many KZN residents have been reacting to the news that a new and powerful drug has reached Durban's streets.
'Flakka' or the 'zombie drug' has been traced to some areas of the city, including Pinetown, Wentworth, Chatsworth and Phoenix.
Some listeners who commented on Newswatch's Facebook page believe the country is in a sad state when it comes to drug abuse.

They have asked if the war on drugs will ever be won, wanting to know what authorities are doing to crack down on the scourge.
The 'zombie drug' which has already caused havoc overseas, in countries like the USA, Brazil and Australia, is particularly dangerous.
The Anti-Drug Forum says it causes hallucination, panic and hysteria. The forum's Sam Pillay says the drug is difficult for doctors to treat as the exact contents and ingredients are still unknown.

Some concerned residents say stricter control is needed at our airports and points of entry to prevent people bringing drugs into South Africa, whilst others believe educating our children on the dangers of drugs is the only way to keep them safe.
