Seventeen-year-old Leyton Fynn was on his way to holiday classes with his friends when a suspect approached them on Richard Winn Road and shot him multiple times.

His parents, Gail Franks and Tyrone Fynn joined the march on Sunday and laid flowers on the spot where their son died.

Leyton's father says after the shooting last week, police came to fetch him to take him to his son.

"When we turned the corner into Richard Winn Road it looked like a movie. It still didn't hit me. I wanted to know where he was, and the police came up to me and he was in tears, and I just dropped. He was such an angel."

The teen's mother says she was at work when she got the news.

"When I came, the road was already full, and I could see his school shoes, and I couldn't believe it. I left in the morning, I always say goodbye, and I will see you later, and that was the last time I saw him."

One community member says they have had enough of the killings in Wentworth, adding they're constantly ducking for cover.

"When you come out your yard, you have to make sure you look first before you even get out. Our children are lock up every single day. You can't even go to the local shops."

Last Friday, a local pharmacist was killed in an armed robbery at his dispensary on Clinic Road.

One woman was injured.

Police are investigating the two murders.
