'Welcome back home Jacob Zuma’ poster fake: JZ Foundation

The Jacob Zuma Foundation says there's no rally happening in Nkandla to welcome the former president home.

Zuma was granted medical parole earlier this month after serving a few weeks of his 15-month jail term in Estcourt for contempt of court.


He's been in hospital in Pretoria.


A poster bearing the emblem of the South African National Civic Organisation Youth Congress has been circulated, claiming there'll be an event on Wednesday to mark his return to his homestead.


But Jacob Zuma Foundation spokesperson Mzwanele Manyi has poured cold water over the claims.


"We've seen some posters doing the rounds, saying things about his excellency president Zuma being welcomed on the 29th of September.


"I just want to confirm that there is no such a thing. That's all fake news."
