Water-saving systems for Stanger hospital
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
The KZN Department of Health is in the process of digging a borehole to add to the one already in use at Stanger Hospital as the severe drought continues to affect the province.

The department says its facilities in the Ilembe District are among the hardest hit in KZN.
Stanger Hospital's old air conditioning technology uses about 20 000 litres of water a day.
Health's Sam Mkhwanazi says a company has already begun replacing the old air conditioning systems.
"The drought is beginning to impact on the service delivery at our facilities but particularly those who were built decades ago," he said.
Officials are urging all hospital staff to use water sparingly and to report burst pipes.
