Community members in Durban's inner west area of Clermont are calling for justice following the death of a woman who'd allegedly been abused by her partner.
Thandazile Mthethwa, 24, a news anchor at local radio station Vuma FM, was laid to rest at the Clermont Methodist Church, this past weekend.
The church's Reverend Mbuzo Mnyandu says news of her death has left congregants shocked.
He says they are disturbed by the allegations that Mthethwa had been badly assaulted.
"Many young people were looking up to her in terms of participating in the activities of the church."

"What is painful is that we couldn't detect that she was going through something which was horrifying and terrifying in her life.
"Just hearing about her death and not even hearing any news about a sickness really devastated us as a church."
Police say they are still investigating and that no arrests have been made yet.
