Umkomaas community in shock after couple's murder
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
A ward councillor in Umkomaas, on the south coast, says the
community's reeling in shock after a couple was killed in the area.

On Friday night, unknown suspects opened fire on the pair while they were travelling in their vehicle near Valley View and Crowder Main Roads.
It is understood the tuckshop owners were on their way to collect more stock for their store.
KZN police say the motive for the attack is unknown at this stage.
But Ward 99 Councillor, Jane Naidoo, says there's speculation that the murders are linked to a construction enterprise.

She says the man who killed was part of the area's Water Scheme Project.
" Ngwadini happens to be an important area currently in that the dam is part or an extension of the lower Umkomaas Water Scheme Project.
"So that's one of the phases that's linked to the uMngeni project and that is currently under construction at the moment."
