uMhlathuze Mayor: More funds needed for business development

uMhlathuze Mayor Xolani Ngwezi says more funds are needed for development programmes for local businesses.
He says over the years, he's seen the challenges associated with youth unemployment become more severe.

Ngwezi says discouragement set in for many young job seekers.
“A few years back, when I joined this Municipality, a budget was allocated to celebrate the June 16, 1976, Soweto Uprising. I said it’s very good to tell history, but history must be told within the context of today's challenges.
“Challenges facing the youth of 1976 are not the same challenges facing the youth today. The youth today is challenged by the fact that there's joblessness in the country; lack of opportunities."
