Africans have taken to social media to air their dismay over an interview
former Speaker of the
National Assembly, Baleka Mbete, participated in with international news channel, Al Jazeera.
The African National Congress (ANC) stalwart was interviewed by Mehdi Hasan, who hosts the channel’s Head to Head show.
Hasan grilled Mbete on several controversial topics that have plagued the ANC over the years, including AIDS denialism, the Marikana Massacre, and the Nkandla upgrades.
They were joined by, former ANC MP, Makhosi Khoza, founder of South African Business Abroad, Xolani Xala, and former politician Andrew Feinstein.
