Taxi Council trialling new seat booking system in KZN

The South
African National Taxi Council says commuters will soon be able to book seats
for long distance trips.
It's planning to launch the new online system with a trial already underway in KZN.

SANTACO's Rebecca Phala says it will be fully launched in June.
"We've been working with the private sector. What we are essentially planning to do is to have as system that is sophisticated were people can use an online app to essentially book a trip and have that confirmed before they get to a taxi rank to board into a taxi."
