Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A Sydenham family and officers are trying to establish the whereabouts of a missing 10-year-old boy while his alleged kidnapper sits in jail.

"It's terrible, everyone is breaking. All we have left is trusting in God," Miguel's grandmother, Arlene Paul said.
Miguel Louw was taken from outside Rippon Primary School over a week ago and apparently dragged into a kombi by a man known to him.
Police have confirmed they have arrested a 43-year-old man in connection with Miguel's abduction but there's been no sign of the boy.
