Specialised team appointed in CT mass shooting

Parliament has called on the Police Minister to act urgently, following a shooting in Philippi East, in which 11 people were killed.
Western Cape police say violence erupted on Friday night at a shebeen in the area's Marikana informal settlement.
It's also emerged another seven people were killed in apparent vigilante killings there - bringing the total number of deaths in one week to 18.
Philippi East has been on lockdown with a heavy police presence in the area.

The Police Ministry spokesperson, Vuyo Mhaga says a specialised team has been appointed.
"Mr. Mbalula is pleased that Major General Manci has been deployed together with a team of specialist detectives as well as the national intervention unit. We are hopeful that these thugs will be found. We are hopeful that these thugs will be found by the team.
"We want to stress to the community to work together with the police to make sure we bring these perpetrators to book," he says.
