Snake bite attack leaves Port Shepstone man dead

A 29-year-old man has died from what is believed to have been a snake bite in Port Shepstone.
Netcare911's Chris Botha says he was found face down in his bed this morning.
Botha says medics declared him dead at the scene while police are investigating the death.

"When they examined him, they found two wounds on his hand consistent with that of a large snake. The SAP was called in and we presumed at this stage that the man was bitten by a snake while he was actually sleeping," he said.
