Slight drop in petrol, diesel prices in March

The Department of Mineral Resources
and Energy announced a decrease in fuel prices for the month of March.

"Both grades of petrol will decrease by 7 cents a litre. Diesel will decrease by 17.5 and 23.5 cents a litre. Paraffin will decrease by 8c per litre at the retail level, and LP gas will decrease by 2c per kilogram," said the department spokesperson Robert Maake.
The adjustments will come into effect on Wednesday.

Maake said the decreases are due to slightly lower oil prices.
"And the stronger rand against the dollar, which contributed to a decrease by about 13c on petrol and 14c on both diesel and LP. The slate levy remains unchanged at zero cents per litre in the price structures of petrol and diesel. And LP decreases from 1c to 0.5c per litre."Find us on social media
