Senzo Meyiwa murder trial postponed
Updated | By Xolani Khumalo
The murder trial of the five men accused of the killing of former Bafana Bafana captain and goalkeeper Senzo Meyiwa has been postponed until Tuesday.
The five accused appeared in the High Court in Pretoria on Monday.
Meyiwa was shot and killed eight years ago in Vosloorus, east of Johannesburg.
The defence lawyers told the court they needed more time to consult the accused on new statements from the State.

Judge Tshifiwa Maumela acknowledged the need to postpone the case.
"The need for consultation is more than vital and has to be observed, so I do not give this order in order to undermine whatever prevails as the way and approach for purposes of correctional services.
"So to be brief, the matter is postponed overnight."
