Search for third person continues at Jozini Dam following boat blaze
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A search for a third person, presumed to have drowned following houseboat fire, has resumed in the Jozini Dam.

It’s still not clear what started the blaze that gutted the Shayamanzi houseboat on Saturday.
Four crew and five passengers were on board at the time.
They all jumped into the water to escape the fire.
Some of them survived.
All that police have confirmed at this stage is that after the fire broke out, two crew members and a German tourist who was on the two-day cruise jumped into the water and drowned.
Police managed to locate two of the bodies whilst the search for another crew member was cancelled on Sunday
It’s been confirmed that they are back in the area on Monday and searching for the man.
KZN Tourism MEC Ravi Pillay arrived at the Jozinu Tiger Lodge, where he is meeting the management of the Shayamanzi in a closed session to try and get an understanding of what happened.
He is also meeting family members of the victims.
He is expected to brief the media after as well as view the boat, which is expected to arrive in the next hour.
