SASSA KZN concerned following grant-linked robberies

SASSA in KZN says it's concerned about the growing robberies at Post Offices on the eve of social grant payment days

This after the Howick and Glencoe Post offices were broken into on Wednesday, wherein laptops and SASSA cards were stolen.
At the Glencoe Post office R120 000 was stolen including two laptops with grant application systems and SASSA payment cards.
In a statement SASSA says an emerging scam where beneficiaries' funds are withdrawn without their consent could be driving the demand.
They urging anyone who may have information on the robbery or people who defraud beneficiaries’ grants to contact authorities.
