SANDF member to appear in court for allegedly killing wife

A Pinetown man accused of killing his wife will make his first appearance in court on Monday.

The 37-year-old, who is a member of the South African National Defence Force, handed himself over to the authorities on Friday.

His partner was shot dead at their home in Tyrone Road last week Wednesday.
At the time, police said they believed the attack was related to a domestic dispute.
"It is alleged that the couple had an argument, and during the altercation, the husband allegedly produced a firearm and fired several shots at the wife,” says KZN police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda.
"She was declared dead at the scene. The motive of the killing is unknown at this stage."
