SA actress allegedly causes fatal car crash
The Twittersphere has come out in strong support and defence of 'Generations The Legacy' star actress Manaka Ranaka who is alleged to have been involved in an accident that claimed the life of a matric pupil.
Reports emerged today suggesting that Ranaka, best known for her role as Lucy, was driving a BMW when she knocked over a pedestrian on the R554 near Leondale last week Friday.
The Sowetan reports that the 18-year-old student was crossing the highway on foot, on her way to visit a friend.
Ranaka’s car is said to have then collided with her - killing her on impact.
Ranaka fans have taken to Twitter to offer their support while some have compared the incident to that of singer, Molemo 'Jub Jub' Maarohanye - who was convicted of culpable homicide.
