Road accidents lead to intensified Transport operations
Updated | By Sandile Zikhali
The KZN Department of Transport says its operations to prevent and minimise road accidents will be intensified.

This after five people were killed and more than 15 injured in two separate accidents in the past two days. On Thursday, an accident involving a taxi and truck left four dead in Pinetown.
One person died in a collision in Richards Bay yesterday.
Transport's spokesperson Kwanele Ncalane says the MEC will announce more plans to reduce accidents in his budget policy speech soon.
"In the meanwhile we continue rolling out our 'Closing the rank' campaign we are maximising our visibility on the roads", he said.
"We are continuing with speed timing enforcement, drinking and driving enforcement and we are stopping more vehicles on the roads", Ncalane said.
