Protesting DSW employees angry at overtime budget cuts
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Striking Durban Solid Waste workers have descended on Durban's City Hall.
They are on a go-slow after an overtime budget cut was implemented on Monday.
eThekwini Municipality says the illegal strike is impacting waste collection as well as street sweeping services around the city.
It says it will be looking into alternative waste services until the situation is resolved.

Metro police spokesperson Boysie Zungu says the workers have been picketing outside City Hall.
"There was a DSW protest, but that protest didn't cause and congestion since their trucks were parked on the one lane and two other lanes were operating as normal.
"The workers are outside City Hall being addressed by the deputy mayor."
