Protest against KwaDukuza principal turns violent

Police are investigating cases of malicious damage to property and public violence following a protest by pupils at a high school in KwaDukuza.

It's understood the leaders want the principal at Tshelenkosi Secondary gone.
Police were called to restore order after teaching came to a standstill on Wednesday.

"Police in KwaDukuza are investigating cases following an incident in which a group of learners engaged in protest action. The protest turned violent, and the learners reportedly broke school windows," said KZN SAPS spokesperson Robert Netshiunda.
