Police visibility to increase says Ramaphosa

President Cyril Ramaphosa says more work is being done to increase the number of police and strengthen community policing forums.

He was speaking on the sidelines of his election campaign in Pretoria yesterday.
Ramaphosa says crime is declining in areas with active community policing forums while the challenge of fewer police has affected the response to crime.

"We've also directed the police to form specialised task teams forces for gangs, drugs and another of things including the construction mafia.
We are addressing all those challenges day and night, our police are risking their lives."
