The indictment says that Pillay decided to kill Govindsamy because he suspected she was having another affair.
It says Pillay decided to also kill Denisha and Rackelle because he believed they knew about his relationship with their mother.
Govindsamy and Denisha were stabbed to death and Rackelle was strangled.
The trial has been set down for 11 days in the Durban High Court.
