Updated | By Newswatch
Durban firefighters were damping down hotspots on Thursday morning after a fire broke out in Phoenix Industrial Park, north of Durban.

Divisional Commander Reagan Gunkel says the emergency call came through after 2am on Thursday.
"When we got there, the fire was already through the roof, and the factory was well alight."
He says the blaze has been brought under control.

No one was hurt.
"It took approximately 20 firefighters to bring the fire under control. They managed to prevent it from spreading to adjacent factories in the area,” says Gunkel.
"The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time. The day shift crew will also take over from us and continue damping the hotspots."
