Pavilion 'device': Not a bomb

Reports of the discovery of another suspicious device at Durban's Pavilion mall today, have turned out to be a false alarm.
Police rushed to the Westville shopping centre this morning, after a suspicious-looking item was found in a parking lot.
It is understood that a member of staff discovered a small plastic disc, with wires sticking out of it - in a corner of the parking lot outside the food court.

Various police units were called in and the area was cordoned off for almost two hours, until the Bomb Squad could confirm that it was in fact a security tag.
At least five potentially incendiary devices have been discovered in the city since Thursday.
One was found in the Woolworths store at The Pavilion and two, at Woolworths Gateway.
Another two were also discovered in Morningside - close to a Woolworths store there.
There is a definite sense of fear amongst members of the public at the moment: Patrons and staff at The Pavilion expressed concern today.
