Oscar awaits appeal verdict
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Oscar Pistorius should know on Thursday whether or not his culpable homicide conviction for killing Reeva Steenkamp will be upheld or overturned by the Supreme Court of Appeal.
The court is expected to deliver its judgement then.
The Paralympian is currently under house arrest at his uncle's Waterkloof home in Pretoria after being freed on correctional supervision from the Kgosi Mampuru Prison.
The State has argued Judge Thokozile Masipa made an error in applying the principles of dolus eventualis, saying she should have found Pistorius guilty of murdering his girlfriend.

Pistorius's defence team believes the sentence handed to him by the North Gauteng High Court is appropriate.
Advocate Mannie Witz says Pistorius is not required to be in court for Thursday's judgement.
''They normally read the last bit of the judgement, of what the finding is. They either find that the appeal succeeds or the appeal is dismissed.
''And they would normally tell you exactly which judges agreed and which judges either [descanted] or which judges disagreed,'' he said.
