No legal grounds for treason charges - AfriForum

AfriForum says there are no legal grounds for the treason
charges the National Prosecuting Authority is investigating.

The Hawks revealed on Monday that it is investigating four cases of high treason related to the spreading of false information.
The dockets are understood to have been opened against AfriForum and the Solidarity Movement.
The organisations recently met with the Trump administration in Washington over South Africa's expropriation policies and the alleged threat to Afrikaners.
AfriForum CEO Kallie Kriel says they have not yet received any official notice from the Hawks or NPA.
"If the State, however, decides to act against us, it will strengthen our position because it will show that there are indeed ANC leaders that abuse their power to govern against certain sections of the population, while ANC leaders that have been implicated for corruption in the Zondo Commission are not being acted against."
Hawks officials say the NPA will make a decision on potential arrests.
