National parks reopen under strict protocols
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Nature lovers will be able to visit national parks in the country again from Monday.

All parks were closed during Levels 4 and 5 of the coronavirus lockdown. They are now open for self-drives under strict health protocols.
In KwaZulu-Natal, the iSimangaliso Wetland Park is also set to reopen today, but the Hluhluwe – iMfolozi Park remains closed.
The South African National Parks spokesperson, Reynold Thakhuli says times will be allocated for the arrival and departure of guests.
"I would like to encourage all our visitors in our national parks to please observe all the regulations of the lockdown Level 3.
"They need to wear the mask, keep social distancing, wash their hands and follow transport capacity regulations. Everybody that is going to enter our national parks is going to be tested."
Picnic spots at all parks remain closed.
