N2 near Umlazi reopened following morning protests
Updated | By Portia Cele
Durban Metro Police says the traffic jam on the N2 northbound, near the Umlazi turn-off, has cleared.

Officers have been keeping a close watch on the freeway after early morning protests.
Refuse and debris were strewn across the lanes.
"The N2 Northbound has been reopened. The debris has moved to the side of the roadway. There is a strong police presence on scene and they are monitoring the situation.
"Our main motive was to clear the roadway and start the negotiations," the police's Parboo Sewpersad said.
