Motorists to feel the pinch from midnight

Some KZN residents say they cannot afford another fuel price hike this month.
The Department of Energy announced yesterday that the price of petrol would increase by 25 and 29 cents a litre, while diesel will cost 42 cents a litre more.

Consumers have told Newswatch the latest hike will have a major impact on their pockets.
"Fuel is increasing the cost of food. It is bad, I already spend over R600 to full up my car," one motorist told Nerwswatch.

"If you want people to be on the road, keep it affordable. If you're going to put up prices, don't do it at the beginning of a holiday," said another.
