October’s fuel price adjustments kick in at midnight.

Consumers have told Newswatch the latest hike will have a major impact on their pockets.

"Fuel is increasing the cost of food. It is bad, I already spend over R600 to full up my car," one motorist told Nerwswatch.

"If you want people to be on the road, keep it affordable. If you're going to put up prices, don't do it at the beginning of a holiday," said another.
