'More synergy needed' in govt to rebuild KZN
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
NCOP chair Amos Masondo has called for more synergy among the three spheres of government to rebuild parts of KwaZulu-Natal, still reeling from the devastation of the April floods and last year's unrest.

Masondo's emphasised the importance of cooperation as work to repair damaged infrastructure continues.
He was delivering the opening address of the NCOP's Taking Parliament to the People programme in Ugu on Tuesday.
He says their role is to ensure that the work is being done.
"The province faces a number of service delivery issues, there is a need to drive a coordinated approach to improve the level of quality and efficient delivery of basic services.
“Service delivery was at the centre of the issues that were raised by the voters in the 2021 local government elections. As a province with a large rural community, it also faces challenges relating to rural development."
