Matric pupil speaks of uncertain future following fees protests
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
As the future remains uncertain for university students across the country where protests over free education have been rife in two weeks more than 160 000 Grade 12 pupils in KZN will be sitting down for their final exams.

The Basic Education Minister will announce the outcome of the exams in January and these results will determine placements for many hopefuls at universities across the country.
Fears are growing that students may not complete the current academic year following ongoing disruptions and cancellation of lectures nation-wide.
One hopeful, Laila Bera, a Grade 12 pupil at Ridge Park College says the current turmoil at universities has all her peers concerned.
Yesterday, UKZN Pietermaritsburg was the site of turmoil where rubber bullets and teargas have been fired at students, sending students running in all directions.
