Man remanded in custody for attempted murder of Durban officer
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The Hawks says more arrests are imminent in the attempted murder of a Durban Crime Intelligence officer.
The directorate says a gunman entered a home in Umlazi's F Section last month in search of the officer and opened fire.
The police officer was injured and taken to hospital.
Officers say the attack came six months after the murder of the man's son.

A 34-year-old suspect was arrested this week by the Hawks' Serious Organised Crime Investigation Unit.
Siphephelo Gumede made his first appearance in the Umlazi Magistrate's Court on Tuesday in connection with the attack.
"He was remanded in custody until 30 March 2022," says Hawks spokesperson Bonnie Nxumalo.
Authorities are trying to establish if he's linked to the son's murder.
