KZN weekend crashes claim three lives

Investigations are ongoing into separate crashes in KwaZulu-Natal that claimed three lives - at the weekend.
A single vehicle travelling along the R620 - Marine Drive - in Uvongo on South Coast - veered off the bridge and crashed into St. Michael's River.
Lifeguards managed to pull the occupant an adult female from the submerged car however upon assessment the patient showed no signs of life and was declared deceased.
The police search and rescue team used a hauling device to recover the vehicle.
A woman was pulled out of the car that was submerged in the water. Medics say when assessed, she showed no signs of life.
In Pietermaritzburg, one person died while four others were injured the vehicle they were travelling - rolled a number of times on Edendale Road near Henley Dam on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency services found the vehicle to have been extensively damaged. Midlands EMS says every person was found outside the vehicle. Three of them were treated for cuts, suspected neck and back injuries.
While on the R102 in Tongaat - one man was killed and another was critically injured in a head-on collision involving a truck.
