KZN officials 'in talks' after airlines suspend travel to SA
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
The KZN Department of Economic Development says it's in talks with national government to discuss reports of cancelled international flights in and out of Durban.

This follows reports that international airline Emirates has grounded its planes in South Africa due to COGTA regulations announced this week that treat airline crew the same as passengers.
Other international airlines cancelled their flights in and out of Durban. Despite international travel being allowed from the 1st of October.
The department's Ndabezinhle Sibiya says the issue will be resolved soon.
"The MEC Nomusa Dube-Ncube is currently working the national government around this matter and is confident this issue will be resolved", he said.
"More critically the MEC commits to work with the Airports Company South Africa, the airline industry and all other stakeholders as guided by national government", Sibiya said.
