KZN mayor in Magaqa murder returns to court for bail bid

The murder-accused mayor of the Harry Gwala District Municipality is expected to launch a bid for bail in the Umzimkhulu Magistrate's Court today.
Mluleki Ndobe was arrested last week in connection with the 2017 murder of former ANC Youth League secretary general, Sindiso Magaqa.
Ndobe was arrested along with the municipal manager, a businessman and a former police officer.

Meanwhile, the bail application comes as another senior municipal manger from Newcastle is also expected to make his first appearance in court today in connection with the 2016 murder of the ANC Youth League's Wandile Ngubeni.
