KZN leg of Operation Dudula called off
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Organisers of a march by members of Operation Dudula that was due to take place in Durban Central today say the protest has been postponed till further notice.
Among other things, the group says it's against economic activity by people who are in the country illegally. Mfanafuthi Dumakude is one of the members leading the group in KZN.
"It is not really the arrest of Nhlanhla that affected our plans, not entirely, it is also the relevant stakeholders not granting us permission to go ahead", he said.
Meanwhile the group's leader, Nhlanhla "Lux" Dlamini is expected back in court tomorrow.
Dlamini was arrested on Thursday after a Soweto resident laid charges against him after his home was allegedly ransacked by Operation Dudula members last weekend.
Dumakude says they hope he will be released from custody soon…
