KwaDukuza teen shot dead on way home from school

A 17-year-old schoolgirl has been gunned down in KwaDukuza.
IPSS Medical Rescue says the teenager was shot and killed in Ntshawini while on her way home on Thursday afternoon.
Spokesperson Samantha Meyrick says she was a pupil at Chief Albert Luthuli High School.

"On arrival, it was found that a grade 8 pupil, on her way home from school, sustained a single fatal gunshot wound.
"This is an active crime scene and SAPS are in attendance to investigate this matter further.
"It is believed the shooting took place by a single suspect."
