Kaunda to unpack plans to boost informal sector
Updated | By Nondumiso Dube
eThekwini Municipality says infrastructure upgrades are on the cards to boost trade in the informal sector.

The Covid-19 pandemic, multiple lockdowns and unrest in July dealt a massive blow to many business owners.
Mayor Mxolisi Kaunda's spokesperson Mluleki Mntungwa says transforming the city's informal sector will have a positive impact on Durban's economy.
He says Kaunda will on Wednesday explain the strategies they've come up with to develop and rebuild local businesses at an indaba at the ICC.
"Councillor Mxolisi Kaunda will outline strategies to transform the City's informal economic sector into an efficient and competitive economy.
"He will also unpack plans to upgrade infrastructure for informal traders in eThekwini following the civil unrest that crippled the sector."
