Joint memorial service in honour of bus crash victims

The 10 victims of the tragic bus crash that happened on the way back from the ANC's local elections manifesto in Port Elizabeth will be honoured at a joint memorial service this afternoon.
The families were taken to the Germiston Mortuary to receive the bodies on Tuesday.
They were greeted by ANC Gauteng and Ekurhuleni leaders. They wiped away tears as they filed past Gauteng chairperson, Paul Mashatile and Ekurhuleni mayor, Mondli Gungubele.

One woman wailed as she made her way into the mortuary. Shortly after their arrival, two pathology vans drove in.
uMkhonto weSizwe veterans stood to attention and saluted as the vans drove into the mortuary.
On Sunday, the bus carrying ANC volunteers overturned in the Free State killing 10 people. Several others were injured and taken to nearby hospitals.
