INFOGRAPHIC: NSRI's beach safety tips
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
The National Sea Rescue is advising beachgoers to continue to exercise extreme care near water, during the festive season. Thousands of revellers are expected to flock to the province's beaches on the eve of Christmas Day.

There've been two drowning incidents - involving children - this past week.
A 3-year-old girl drowned after falling into a family swimming pool at the weekend in the Berea, in Durban.
While last Sunday, a 9-year-old girl lost her life in a drowning incident at a day camp in Zinkwazi on KwaZulu-Natal's north coast.
The NSRI says parents should try to ensure that their pool has a child safe cover or net. The institute also recommends an approved fence that has a locking gate that can’t be climbed by small children.
Meanwhile the NSRI says bathers must choose a beach that has lifeguards on duty before going into the water, and to swim between their flags.
