Hillary Gardee funeral: 'Are we still safe anywhere'?
Updated | By Jacaranda FM
Hillary Gardee's grandmother believes the brutal murder of the 28-year-old woman is further proof of the uncontrollable levels of violence against women.
Nora Fakude addressed mourners at Church on the Hill in Mbombela on Saturday morning.
Hillary Gardee was laid to rest a week after she went missing and the subsequent discovery of her body.
Her body was discovered in bushes along the R37 road near Sabie on Tuesday, with the family confirming she was shot at the back of her head.
One suspects has so far been arrested in connection with the murder.
