Group found living near M4 highway taken to safety home
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Police say a group of children who were found living in a bush along the M4 freeway in Durban North have been sent to a place of safety.
The children - aged between 11 and 18 - were removed from the bush on Friday.
They were found huddled around a fire. Several other people were also found in the thick bush where they'd also erected structures.
Blue Security officers were also at the scene.
"We have a lot of criminal activity that's happening in nearby shopping centres especially around the Virginia circle - especially around the Virginia circle. These vagrants are doing criminal activities then run and hide. Because the density of these bushes are thick," spokesperson Andreas Mathios said.
