Four men charged with firearm possession to appear court

Four men charged for the unlawful possession of firearms and
ammunition will line up at the Hluhluwe Magistrates Court on Tuesday.

KZN SAPS spokesperson, Sbusiso Mkhize says Sphamandla Mhlongo, Senzo Khanyile, Mbuyiseni Ncanana and Bheki Gumede were arrested in the area last week.
"Police conducted a sting operation in collaboration with private field rangers which was backed by intelligence. Police went to search different residences at Mnqobokazi in Hluhluwe area and during a search operation, police recovered four homemade rifles and several rounds of ammunition.”

Mkhize says the four suspects were immediately arrested.
"All four suspects appeared before the Hluhluwe Magistrates Court on 12 March 2025 and they were all remanded in custody for a formal bail application.”
