A firefighter has died in the line of duty while fighting the raging Knysna fire in the Eden District Municipality.

Bradley Richards, a firefighter from Plettenberg Bay, dies in hospital this morning.
"Tragically we've got to confirm that a firefighter has died in the line of duty fighting the fires in the Eden District," says Western Cape Local Government spokesperson James-Brent Styan.
Styan says he was admitted to hospital yesterday.
"Our commiserations go out to him, his community, his team mates and his colleagues. Every fatality and every injury is one we try and prevent as far as we can," says Styan.
This brings the number of deaths in the Western Cape, following the fires and storm this week, to 10.
Five of the deaths are in the Eden District.
If you would like to assist in any way to help those affect by the fire, DHL has various drop off points which you can visit.
