Family calls for south coast 'child killer' to be denied bail

The Department of
Social Development in KZN's calling for bail to be denied in the murder case of
a six-year-old south coast girl.
A 27-year-old man made his first appearance in the Umzumbe Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
He is accused of kidnapping, raping and murdering little Emihle Nyawose.
The child was last seen alive with the suspect in uMthwalume's ward 14.
The department's Mhlabunzima Memela says he apparently confessed to killing the girl.

"This is a man who buried the child in a shallow grave after he followed the child when she was sent to a nearby shop to buy airtime.
"This is a man is known and trusted in the community and by the family of this child. Unfortunately he decided to be an evil and cut the life of the child short while the family was still expecting a lot from her."
