Updated | By Celumusa Zulu
The family of slain KZN Afro-pop musician and teacher Zenzele Zibonele Gumbi says they are shattered by his death.
The musician’s body was found in the boot of his car in Soweto on Wednesday, a day after he was kidnapped from his apartment in Randfontein.
Gumbi, who hails from KwaNongoma, had taught at a school in Randfontein.
He also recently released a hit single ‘Liduma’.
Family spokesperson Scelo Gumbi says his brother loved music.
He says the family is hoping for speedy arrests.
"The people who live in Snake Park (in Soweto), they must come forward and assist. They might not know the people who did this, but they know the criminals that roam the city.
"It’s not even a person whom I would say we have had a commotion. He has been living in Gauteng in Gauteng for over 10 years, he's studied in TUT."
