eThekwini load shedding suspended on Wednesday
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Load shedding has been suspended in eThekwini, but only on Wednesday.
The municipality says this will help its team prepare the city's system for its new power cuts schedule, set to be implemented on Thursday.
Residents and businesses are going to experience load shedding, from stage 1, like the rest of the country.
After being excluded from stages 1 to 3 of the rotational schedule for a year, eThekwini's now bracing for a dark winter.

The city was granted an exemption after April's devastating floods.
But it said recently that all stages of the outages will resume from Thursday, with residents given an amended version of the schedule.
The municipality released a statement on Wednesday morning to say that the system operator granted a 24-hour relief to allow the city to re-configure its load shedding system.
eThekwini has meanwhile urged residents to switch off high-load appliances during power outages and to wait before switching them on when the power returns.
