Durban tow truckers bring traffic to a standstill
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
Tow truck drivers, panel beaters and electricians in the automobile repairs and salvage sector are calling for equality within the industry.
Tow truckers embarked on a go-slow on the N2 Northbound carriageway - severely affecting traffic - to highlight what they claim is the unfair distribution of repair work by insurance companies.

Tow truckers will march and drive up Armstrong Avenue to Telesure where a memorandum is expected to be handed over. Douglas says their protest is a last resort.
"Yes, people will be annoyed because of how we're doing it. If we don't do that - how are we supposed to express ourselves? We followed every channel and tried to be heard, people have just ignored us. What is left for us when people are dying the roads, losing their jobs and businesses are closing?," he said.
