Storm disaster zones in and around Durban earmarked for emergency relief, are receiving assistance.

eThekwini Mayor Zandile Gumede’s been working with disaster management teams this weekend. They handed out care packages to residents in the Isipingo area, south of Durban, yesterday.
"We were with volunteers, councillors, and the SASSA department distributing blankets, and food parcels to communities affected by the storm. These areas have been declared as disaster areas by the provincial and national government," she says.
